MINING SUPPLIERS: COMPETITIVENESS AND SUSTAINABILITYPeru, 2025 | Partners: Ministerio de Energía y Minas (MINEM)

THE CHALLENGE

Strengthening Peru's mining supplier ecosystem by promoting greater competitiveness, sustainability, and integration within the mining value chain.

ALE'S CONTRIBUTION

ALE developed a diagnostic study of the mining suppliers subsector and an international comparative analysis to identify opportunities for strengthening the sector. Based on this analysis, it designed tools and proposals for institutional and territorial engagement and coordination aimed at strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of the supplier ecosystem. The progress of this work was presented at PERUMIN 2025.

MOQUEGUA CONVERGES: FROM DIALOGUE TO ACTIONMoquegua - Peru, 2025 | Partners: Governance Action Hub (GAH) / Results for Development (R4D)

THE CHALLENGE

To consolidate a multi-stakeholder community capable of transforming dialogue into action and generating conditions to promote collaborative territorial development initiatives in Moquegua.

ALE'S CONTRIBUTION

ALE accompanied a new stage of CONVERGE Moquegua, strengthening its governance and expanding the participation of public, private, social and youth actors.

The work included facilitating spaces for collaboration, developing thematic agendas, collaborative initiatives and peer learning, as well as connecting with local stakeholders to promote solutions focused on shared priorities.

THE CHALLENGE

Strengthen RENASA's competitive positioning as a supplier to large-scale mining, responding to the sector's new demands and generating a differentiated value proposition.

ALE'S CONTRIBUTION

ALE developed a strategic diagnosis and a comparative analysis of the requirements of the main mining companies to identify risks, opportunities and areas for strengthening.

Based on this analysis, he designed the Strategic Route 2026–2028, integrating aspects of safety and operational excellence, traceability, governance and compliance, territorial contribution and innovation and digitalization.

THE CHALLENGE

 Strengthening a multi-stakeholder dialogue and collaboration platform focused on territorial development, articulating actors and institutional agendas in a context marked by mining activity.

ALE'S CONTRIBUTION

Together with INSUCO, ALE contributes to strengthening the platform through the analysis of progress and products, alignment intelligence, and the identification of convergences, risks, and opportunities.

The work seeks to strengthen the conditions for the sustainability, legitimacy and continuity of the dialogue and territorial articulation process.

THE CHALLENGE

Strengthening institutional and territorial capacities to improve multi-stakeholder coordination, water governance and strategic management of public investments in Cajamarca.

ALE'S CONTRIBUTION

ALE contributes to territorial implementation by strengthening multi-stakeholder spaces, providing citizen support, and coordinating with regional actors.

The work integrates territorial governance, water management, knowledge management and strategic investment management to contribute to regional development processes.

THE CHALLENGE

Adapting specialized content on ESG and social responsibility to the realities and challenges of Latin American mining.

ALE'S CONTRIBUTION

ALE participates in the adaptation and contextualization for Latin America of the Professional Certificate in ESG and Social Responsibility of AusIMM.

Their contribution includes technical review and contextualization of content, adaptation of examples and cases to the regional reality, review of specialized terminology and facilitation of live sessions.

THE CHALLENGE

Explorar nuevas formas de comprender y fortalecer la relación entre empresas y comunidades, incorporando dimensiones culturales del territorio que suelen quedar fuera de los procesos tradicionales de gestión social.

ALE'S CONTRIBUTION

ALE participa en el desarrollo de una metodología de escucha territorial que incorpora investigación, identidad musical y creación colectiva como herramientas para comprender el territorio y generar nuevas formas de relacionamiento.

El proceso busca reconocer sonidos, memorias y expresiones culturales locales para transformarlos en experiencias que contribuyan a fortalecer la identidad, la participación y la conexión entre actores.
